BTW this is on a Jul-13 FreeBSD 7-CURRENT with gcc 4.2.0, xorg-7.2 and
cairo-1.4.10, compiled both with and without -fno-tree-vrp (just to be
on the safe side), and with opt levels from O1 to O3. If you're
developing this on linux you probably have cairo2 installed, which could
explain why you haven't noticed any of these issues yourself (and/or why
you're having problems with some of the patches I've sent). I'll give
cairo2 a try as soon as Real Work allows and report back.
