Just to know, I can't reproduce it, but you have no font printed on the statusbar, that's it? I've got this problem on _one_ of my computer last week and I don't know why. I use and dev awesome on 3 different computers, and the only one where I have this bug has nothing special (amd64 like another box, Debian/sid like the 2 others...). I did not bisect since I though that it was a local problem, maybe it's not. I'll try to bisect next week (it's far away).
